Royal feud: How Kate Middleton will make sure Meghan Markle reunion goes smoothly
Meghan and Harry will depart the Royal Family’s senior ranks at the end of March when they head back to Canada as private citizens. The Duke and Duchess have long publicised their distaste for royal life, and they will finally step out from under the crown on March 31 after completing their final engagements.
As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex settled into their lives as a married couple, rumours of a feud between them and the Cambridges followed.
A “rift” allegedly opened up between the couples on Meghan’s entry to the family, and the Sussexes sought increased independence.
The rumours reached their peak when Meghan and Harry split from the shared Royal Foundation and moved out from Kensington Palace, where they lived nearby the Cambridges.
According to one royal expert, Kate “doesn’t like” stories about the alleged rift, and will ensure their incoming reunion will go “as smoothly as possible”.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, royal author Katie Nicholl said Meghan would feel some “trepidation” about returning to the UK, but she would do so anyway.
She added the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have had little contact with William and Kate while they were in Canada.
Nevertheless, when the couple reunites on Monday for their final joint event, the March 9 Commonwealth Day service, Ms Nicholls expects Kate will “embrace” her.
She said: “In private, I don’t think there will have been a huge amount of contact between the Cambridges and the Sussexes since Harry and Meghan left for Canada.
“The time difference and the fact that Kate and William are busier than ever at the moment will have made that difficult.
“However, Kate knows the spotlight is always on them and she doesn’t like any stories about the rift.
“We’re likely to see her embrace Meghan as she has at previous events.
“Kate is also very fond of Harry, so she won’t want him leaving on a sour note, and will do her best to make sure things go as smoothly as possible.”

Ms Nicholl said the Queen has also shown her support for the couple despite their impending exit.
She said their presence at the Commonwealth Day event shows the monarch has not left Meghan and Harry “out in the cold”.
According to The Sun, Prince Harry smoothed over his feelings on Megxit with the monarch during downtime on his return this week.
An insider told the publication the Prince talked to the Queen in a “relaxed” setting on Sunday, in which he informed her of his plans.
The insider said: “The Queen had a lot to talk to Harry about and this was the ideal time for them to both say their piece.
“When Harry and Meghan announced they wanted to quit, it all happened very quickly and it was very stressful for all concerned.
“Sunday was the first time the Queen has had the chance to talk to Harry on his own and really find out what his plans are.
“It was a much more relaxed environment, and they were both able to speak their mind.”
