Kate Middleton and William attend concert at Westminster Abbey

About 200 people braved the cold outside Westminster Abbey for the arrival of the Prince and Princess of Wales for a Christmas Carol concert hosted by the Princess. William and Kate arrived at the entrance to the Abbey which was decorated with Christmas trees and snow. As the Waleses emerged from their car a huge cry went up from tje adoring crowd.

They were swiftly followed by King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla who waved to the crowds lining the street outside the Abbey.

Brazilian national Ella Santis, 32, from London, waited for hours ahead of the Royal Family’s arrival.

She cried: “Prince William we love you. Kate we love you. We support you. We love this family so much.”

There were cries of “We support you even more” as the family walked the short distance to the Abbey doors as a crowd of photographers’ lights flashed.

The carol concert comes on the day Netflix released the final three episodes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell documentary.

The second part of their series contains a new selection of explosive claims set against the Royal Family. 

The couple touched several times on the Prince and Princess of Wales, in one episode claiming Prince William “screamed” at him. 

They held emergency talks about their future in the Firmduring January 2020, when he alleged his brother raised his voice while his father and Queen Elizabeth II sat in the room. 

He said: “It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that just simply weren’t true, and my grandmother quietly sit there and sort of take it all in.” 

Prince Harry claimed he was given limited options for proceeding with his wife and young son. 

They allegedly ranged from “all in, no change” to “all out”.

He said he chose the third option, “half in, half out”, but condemned the Royal Famly’s goal in the discussions. 

He said: “It became very clear very quickly that that goal was not up for discussion or debate.”

But support for the Royal Family was strong among the crowd cheering the arrival of the King, Queen Consort, William, Kate and their children.

Ella said: “What [Harry and Meghan] claim they are doing to them, is exactly what they are doing to the Royal Family.

“Saying the Royal Family are smearing them, but aren’t they doing the same?”

The Royal carol service today came as Buckingham and Kensington Palace remain tight-lipped on allegations included in the show’s newest episodes. 

Rather than comment on the series, Kensington Palace said the couple would showcase the “joy” of “human connection” in their appearance today. 

A spokesman said: “The carol service will celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection can bring: forging friendships and strengthening communities, creating legacies of humility and kindness, whilst also providing relief and comfort in times of difficulty or loss.

“The service will combine both traditional and modern elements, reaching people of all faiths and none.”
