The Royal Family will not be featuring in the Sussexes’ upcoming Netflix series, a royal expert said. Royal members have taken their precaution and stayed away from the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during their visits to Britain to avoid appearing on the docu-series. Queen Elizabeth II declined a photograph with her grandddaughter Lilibet out of caution during the Jubilee Celebrations in June.

Daily Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden said: “We certainly won’t be seeing any moments with other members of the Royal Family.

“From what I understand, they made absolutely clear it want to have absolutely nothing to do with this programme.

“Further evidence of that came when Harry and Meghan came over for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

“They kept a very low profile, and there wasn’t even a photograph of the Queen with baby Lilibet whose birthday was at the time apparently at the time that was made clear that the Queen wouldn’t pose for a photograph in case it happened to appear in a series like this one.”

The late Queen met her granddaughter, who is named after her her, for the first time after Trooping the Colour but she banned photographers from capturing the moment on camera.

Prine Harry and Meghan were reportedly hoping ton bring a professional photographer into Windsor Castle to capture the monumental and historical moment.

At the time, the reason for banning all photos was the source of speculation, with royal commentators arguing it was a private family moment.

One source told The Sun there was “no chance” of the child being photographed with Her Majesty, adding: “Harry and Meghan wanted their photographer to capture the moment Lilibet met the Queen but they were told no chance. It was a private family meeting.”

As to why – one Royal expert Daniela Elser shared with news.com.au that this could have been to prevent the photo “blowing all other Jubilee coverage out of the water.”

But the Sussexes complied with the Queen’s demand and kept a low profile, flying back to the US early before the celebrations had even finished.

The Sussexes signed a landmark multi-year multi-million dollar deal with Netflix to produce a docu-series with the media arm of Archewell Production.

After falling out with first director Garrett Bradley over disagreements, they hired Oscar-winning Liz Garbus.

The Duchess expressed her approval for the new filmmaker, teling Variety: “It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story — a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired — even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it. But that’s not why we’re telling it. We’re trusting our story to someone else, and that means it will go through their lens.”

In the same interview, she revealed the docu-series would centre around the couple’s love stories: “So much of how my husband and I see things is through our love story. I think that’s what people around the world connected to, especially with our wedding. People love love. I’m not excluded in that sentiment. And our definition of love is really expansive: Partner love, self-love, the love of community and family. We use that as the baseline of the kind of shows and documentaries we want out there.”

A souce told Page Six the Netflix series could hit the streaming giant as soon as December 8.
