The anticipated memoir, which was due to be published this year, is widely expected to cause a stir within the Royal Family, with commentators such as Angela Levin predicting he will use it to air his grievances with Prince William and other senior royals. Daily Mail diary editor Richard Eden said: “As she looks forward to her Platinum Jubilee celebrations next week, Her Majesty may have been relieved to hear that her grandson Prince Harry’s memoirs could have been put on hold. The book, which is likely to be explosive and has caused much nervousness among courtiers, still does not have a publication date, even though it was expected to be released later this year.” Mr Eden notes that the lack of publication date is highly unusual in the book world which has sparked speculation that the project has been delayed.

Meghan Markle unlikely to visit her father Thomas in hospital as ‘bridge is burned’

Meghan Markle is unlikely to visit her father after Thomas’ hospital admission as the “bridge is burned” between the two of them, a royal author has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex’s father, Thomas Markle Sr, is understood to be in a Californian hospital after suffering a potential stroke.

Duncan Larcombe, a royal author and former royal editor for the Sun, told The Daily Beast: “Meghan hasn’t released any statement and I doubt she intends to go down there.

“That bridge is burned. If you look at what he did before the wedding, that’s hardly surprising.

“He has claimed it was naivety, but it was clearly duplicitous.”
