The fuming responses come after the Duchess of Sussex phoned the private phone numbers of some US Senators. Meghan has reportedly lobbied US Republican politicians to push them to put forward certain parental leave and climate change policies at the government level. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly phoned two senators, Shelley Moore Capito and Susan Collins, on a withheld number and told them who she was when they answered.

However, US citizens reacted on Twitter to the Duchess of Sussex’s interference in the US political world.

A Twitter user called Proud Army Brat wrote: “No one in America gives a shit about Meghan Markle, Harry, or Charles.

“In America, they’re no one special at all.”

The Duchess of Sussex will not be stripped of her titles, despite putting pressure on Congress to grant parents paid leave, an American royal expert has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex, 40, delivered a massive win for US families after she successfully campaigned for Congress to include paid family and medical leave in the Build Back Better Act. Royal writer Omid Scobie confirmed Ms Markle’s campaign was successful on Twitter.
