Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their second child, which they have said will be a girl. As is tradition with royal babies, the couple have not revealed when the due date is, simply stating that the child is due in “the summertime”. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to welcoming their new arrival, but an insider has said the pair are worried about certain aspects of the new arrival.
Meghan and Harry are said to be “worried” about how their son Archie, who will turn two next month, will respond to having a second child around.
A source told US Weekly: “Archie knows he’ll be a big brother soon and is very excited to help.”
The insider added that his parents “are a little worried now that they will have two kids around versus just one”.
As a result, the couple are “trying to give Archie all the attention he can handle right now”.
Meghan and Harry first revealed the news of the pregnancy by sharing a photo of the couple that highlighted Meghan’s bump.
The black and white image, taken by their friend Misan Harriman, showed Meghan laying with her head in Harry’s lap.
The Duchess looks up at Harry lovingly, while he lays his hand on her head.
Confirming the news, a spokesman for the couple said: “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”
