The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family last year and relocated to California. Following their departure, the couple has publicly attacked the Firm.

Meghan and Harry’s unauthorised biography, Finding Freedom, was published last year and was re-released this month.

In the new edition, an extract from the biography said the couple were “afraid of the consequences” of speaking out against the monarchy.

It reads: “There were so many things they were unable to say [before].”

Meghan and Harry have made it clear they had no involvement with the biography and did not speak to the authors.

This comes as the Queen’s legal team is said to be consulting libel experts following the series of explosive claims made by the couple this year.

A source told The Sun that the Queen was growing “exasperated with repeated attacks”.

Meghan and Harry’s most explosive claims came during their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

The couple claimed there were conversations about their son Archie’s skin colour before he was born and that Meghan did not receive any help when she was suffering from suicidal thoughts.

The Queen’s grandson also launched a scathing attack on his own father, Prince Charles.

The Duke of Sussex appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast where he said he does not want to pass on pain from his own experience to Archie and newborn daughter, Lilibet.

In a new documentary series, called ‘The Me You Can’t See’, Harry also opened up about his experiences with mental health, claiming his suffering goes back to the “same people, the same business model and the same industry”.

Harry is set to release memoirs next year which he has written “not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become”.
