Royal commentator Daniela Elser said the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen have been “all over magazine covers” in America as she highlighted the “sustained public interest in the Windsors Stateside”.

Meanwhile Ms Elser claimed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have “failed to build the sort of broad support base that many, including myself, expected them to”.

Writing for news.com.au, the royal commentator said: “In fact, next year could see a renewed Windsor assault on the US with news that the next outing of the Duke of Cambridge’s Earthshot Prize will be held in the States raising the possibility of a royal tour there also.”

Queen urges William not to take helicopters

The Queen has reportedly begged Prince William to stop taking helicopter rides with his wife and children due to fears over their safety.

A source told Fabulous: “Her Majesty has told close friends and courtiers that she would like William to stop flying himself, particularly in bad weather, as helicopters are not the safest form of transport.

“It keeps the Queen awake at night, and she is understandably very worried.”

“She knows William is a capable pilot but does not think it is worth the risk for all five of them to carry on flying together and can’t imagine what would happen. It would spark a constitutional crisis.

“The Queen has told William she is worried that, however good he is as a pilot, bad weather and accidents can strike at any time.”
