The broadcaster is set to air “The Reckoning” later this year, about the crimes on Jimmy Savile. The drama will show Princess Diana, portrayed by Kate Tickle, meeting him, recreating the moment the two met at the 1983 opening of the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

A source said the Duke of Cambridge is “particularly displeased” about the show.

They added: “Prince William would have preferred not to see his mother feature alongside this vile monster at all.
“Although Diana was one of the important people who Savile ingratiated himself with, there were many others whose influence played a greater part in him getting access to young people and hiding in plain sight.”

The BBC and representatives for the Duke of Cambridge have been contacted for comment.

Meghan and Harry warned of decline in mega deals as ‘golden period’ wears off

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been warned their “mega-deal” offers could have a “sharp decline” if they do not produce some content, a royal expert has claimed.

The Sussexes secured lucrative multimillion-pound deals with Netflix and Spotify after stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family.

Royal expert Neil Sean claimed their lack of progress on producing content could lead to a decline in deals. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Mr Sean said: “Let me give you a bit of advice Harry and Meghan, it’s not as simple or as easy you possibly think.

Mr Sean said “it’s not as easy” as the couple possibly thought.

He added: “If it’s a spectacular success, they are guaranteed even more money but as ever in the fickle world of Hollywood they’re now living in, if it doesn’t resonate with the audience then they can expect a sharp decline in those mega offers and mega deals.”
