It was reported that over the weekend Royal aides had said that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry should stop calling themselves the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. But now, Palace sources have said the Queen and other senior royals will not place pressure on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stop using their titles. Speaking to the Evening Standard, a senior Palace figure said: “There is no appetite to do this.

“The position on titles has been discussed by all parties months ago and remains the same.”

It comes amid renewed calls for the couple to their royal titles after Prince Harry appeared to make critical remarks about the Royal Family during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast.

Prince Harry described the unhappiness of his upbringing.

The Duke of Sussex discussed the way he and his father were raised as a “betrayal” of the family.

On the podcast, Prince Harry said of his father: “He’s treated me the way that he was treated.

“There’s a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway. There’s no blame.

“But certainly when it comes to parenting, if I have experienced some kind of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering that, perhaps, my father or my parents had suffered, I’m going to make sure I break that cycle so I don’t pass it on.”

On the podcast Prince Harry added: “Every single one of us has mental health.

We shouldn’t just sit there and go, oh mental illness is once we are literally on the floor crawling around in the foetal position needing help.

“For me, I don’t think I need therapy anymore, but I want it.

“And when I say therapy, I mean actual therapy.

“Therapy that is sitting down and having a discussion with someone.
