Royal expert Richard Palmer has addressed circulating claims that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are “still a married couple”. The pair, who were married for 10 years, still both live at Royal Lodge in Windsor. The former couple moved into the £30million home in 2003, with the pair then living there with their two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Host Pandora Forsyth told Palmer on this week’s Daily Express’ Royal Round-Up: “This is a very odd set-up, I won’t lie, the actual set-up of it with a former married couple who live on either ends of the house.

“I mean, it does beg the question that, obviously, they are still quite close.”

Palmer replied: “It does, and of course, some people speculate that they are living there as a married couple, but [they] insist that’s not the case.”

Forsyth laughed, before adding: “Lots of people would absolutely hate that idea of thinking of living their ex, [it] would just be hell. I find that the weird part of the story.”

In a previous interview with The Telegraph, Fergie spoke about her platonic relationship with Prince Andrew.

She admitted: “We always say we are the most contented divorced couple in the world. We’re divorced to each other, not from each other.

“We are co-parents who support each other and believe that family is everything.

“I’m proud of the job we have done together in bringing up our children and sustaining a strong family unit. Our bywords are communication, compromise and compassion.”

Sarah has also recently launched a brand-new project, a podcast titled ‘Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah’.

In the podcast series, which launched earlier this month, the Duchess opened up about her current relationship status.

Speaking about her love life, the 63-year-old revealed that she “doesn’t have a boyfriend”.

However, Sarah did hint that she would be open to dating, stating that she “would like one”.

Sarah earlier stated that the series, which was announced last month, is a “new weekly podcast about the highs and lows of everyday life” and that it would see her “taking on some of the biggest and strangest stories from around the world.”
