Royal coronavirus crackdown: George, Charlotte & Louis to follow strict rules- no shouting
Kate and William: Jeremy Vine discusses Christmas card
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge employ one of the best nannies in the country to help care for their three children, but the royal couple prefers to take a more hands-on approach when it comes to parenting. As part of their plans to raise Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five and Prince Louis, two, in a “normal” way they do most of the discipline and care themselves.
As a result, Kate and William have introduced a number of rules and the couple are particularly opposed to any child raising their voices.
A source told the Sun: “Shouting is absolutely ‘off-limits’ for the children and any hint of shouting at each other is dealt with by removal.”
The Cambridge’s have also opted against having a “naughty step” for bad behaviour and instead use a “chat sofa” to discuss their actions.
The insider said: “There’s no ‘naughty step’ but there is a ‘chat sofa’.

“The naughty child is taken away from the scene of the row or disruption and talked to calmly by either Kate or William.
“Things are explained and consequences outlined and they never shout at them.”
As well as being in charge of discipline, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also like doing fun activities with the children, including baking, playing in the garden and camping.
The couple are also regulars on the school run, with both George and Charlotte attending Thomas’s school in Battersea.

But when Kate and William are busy working and carrying out royal engagements, nanny Maria Borrallo looks after the children.
Maria has worked for the Cambridges since 2014, when George was eight-months-old.
She trained at the prestigious Norland College in Bath, which has been producing nannies for the rich and famous since 1892.
Maria makes all decisions in agreement with the Duke and Duchess.

The source said: “Maria is firm but she never acts unilaterally with the children on discipline.
“Kate and William, along with Maria, are strict with the children but have this magic ability to appear not to be.
“It is a military operation but you would never guess it because they work ferociously hard on their children’s upbringing and making it seem relaxed and happy for the three of them.
“They are very good at listening to the children but being firm.”
Earlier this week Kate and William shared their annual Christmas card photo earlier this week, which shows the family of five sitting on a block of hay.
The three children, Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two, steal the show as they beam into the camera.
