The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a huge decision earlier this year, as they announced their intentions to step back as senior members of the Royal Family. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle eventually relocated from their temporary Vancouver Island residence to Los Angeles in March as they began their new post-royal lives. The couple are reportedly living in Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills mansion.

Meghan is understandably thrilled to be back in her hometown of Los Angeles, and her mother, Doria Ragland, has reportedly moved in to help out with Archie.

Despite many reports claiming the Duchess is enjoying life outside the Royal Family, many fans of the couple are saddened by their relocation and decision to step down.

Harry used to be the most popular royal after the Queen and his royal wedding to Meghan in 2018 became the most-watched television event of the year in the UK.

The global audience was estimated to be in the hundreds of millions.

Despite how high-profile the event was, former European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker might have missed it because he had to attend to “more urgent and pressing matters”.

According to a 2018 report by the Daily Express, to mark the occasion, a European Commission spokeswoman said: “We are always happy when love is in the air.”

When asked whether Mr Juncker was planning to watch the nuptials, the spokeswoman added: “When it comes to President Juncker, I think there are so many things around the world, it will depend on what the Saturday agenda brings him.

“Whether he will tune in or or have to attend to other more urgent and pressing matters.”

Brussels stopped short on commenting whether they had sent a gift to the happy couple or if the event could even have an effect on Brexit negotiations between the UK and EU.

Nonetheless, the event was a truly spectacular moment with committed royalists already lining the streets over 24 hours before the ceremony in order to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom.

The event did not go without a glitch, though.

Meghan had to ask Prince Charles to accompany her down part of the aisle on her wedding day.

The former Suits actress’s father did not make the wedding due to ill health and Meghan walked the first half of the aisle of the St George’s Chapel alone.

There has recently been another royal wedding.

Princess Beatrice tied the knot with property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on Friday.

The happy couple’s Windsor nuptials were announced last week, with further details and official photographs released by the palace on Saturday evening.

Beatrice and Edoardo’s choices for their special day were particularly sentimental, with the bride wearing one of the Queen’s vintage gowns and the tiara Her Majesty wore on her own royal wedding day.
