Royal baby: Windsor DESERTED as Meghan and Harry keep fans in the dark

Photos taken today in the Berkshire town show the empty streets as royal fans continue to wait for the iconic moment Meghan Markle and Prince Harry introduce their bundle of joy to the world. But the deserted streets outside Windsor castle couldn’t be any different from the packed and chaotic scenes seen near the Lindo Wing every time Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, gives birth to her royal baby.

And this is because parents-to-be Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have decided not to release more details about their baby until after they have had “the opportunity to celebrate privately”.

This means any official details about the royal baby’s birth so far, including Meghan’s due date, where she will give birth and when the duchess is in labour have been shrouded in secrecy.

Meghan, 37, has turned her back on yet another royal tradition by opting against giving birth to her first child in the Lindo Wing of Paddington’s St Mary’s Hospital.

The move means she will not pose with her newborn baby on the hospital steps like her sister-in-law, Kate.

She is thought to be shunning royal tradition in favour of a private, normal birth way from the spotlight – with some reports even suggesting the duchess will give birth at home in Frogmore Cottage.

Duchess Kate gave birth to all three of her children at the Lindo Wing, with Prince Louis’ birth in April last year being the most recent.

She emerged on the hospital steps looking picture perfect in a stunning red dress just hours after the birth.

However Meghan is said not to be keen for this kind of scrutiny, and as their baby won’t be a direct heir to the throne, and nor is husband Prince Harry, there is less pressure on them to keep up public appearances.

However royal fans are hopeful they will catch a first glimpse of the royal baby on the couple’s recently opened Sussex Royal Instagram account.

Meghan, 37, is expected to give birth imminently to her first child, but there is still no sign of the bait after she is believed to have been due last weekend.

Impatient royal fans have been keeping their eyes peeled for the royal couple’s anew arrival and have posted a series of hilarious memes on social media to show their frustrations.

Meanwhile, speculation is swirling that baby Sussex could already be born after Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland’s dog was spotted being walked by another person.
