Royal baby Archie to unite Harry and William – ‘Want the children to know their cousins’
Reports surfaced that a handful of disagreements between the pair, such as William warning Harry to not rush into marriage with the former Suits actress and the alleged feud between Kate and Meghan over Charlotte’s “tense” bridesmaid dress fitting for the royal Windsor wedding, is said to have caused tension between the brothers. Though a source told People that they believe little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, born last week on Monday, will bring the two together again. The source said: “William and Harry will want their children to know their cousins and do things together, so they will work harder at their relationship.
“The brothers will have a different kind of relationship and move on.”
The Sussexes and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were branded as the Fab Four before cracks began to appear.
Their households ended up being divided, with Meghan and Harry moving out of Kensington Palace into Frogmore Cottage some 25 miles away where they not only had Archie, but attempted to re-brand themselves with their very own Instagram page – @sussexroyal.
A palace courtier previously said: “It was only going to work until they married — and it went on a while longer than perhaps was originally thought.”
A household source added: “It’s a shame. There was power in that unity and great strength in the foursome, but I see why it is happening.
There is always that tension: trying to do the PR thing and then realising that they are just real people. They want their own place and their own things.”
That said, Meghan and Kate were said to have locked horns several times last year, showing just how different their personalities are.
It was reported Kate had told Meghan to not address the Duchess of Cambridge’s staff in a manner she found offensive.
They famously clashed during the fitting for Charlotte’s dress for Meghan’s wedding, which reportedly left Kate “in tears”.
Things appeared to have soured further when reports emerged Kate and William had planned to spend Christmas with the Middletons, with the Queen inviting Meghan and Harry to Sandringham.
It is said the monarch stepped in and the foursome were pictured together attending church on Christmas Day.
