REVEALED: Theresa May’s LAST CHANCE on Brexit before she will be forced to resign

Leave supporting Tory MP Steve Double argued the country needed a change in leadership to fulfil Brexit. He added that despite this he felt Theresa May had one more opportunity to get her deal through Parliament before she is forced out of office. This would mean that Mrs May would have to hold a fourth vote regarding her Brexit withdrawal agreement, most likely a deal that has been ratified with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

While speaking on ITV’s Peston the host asked the panel how long he believed Theresa May had as Prime Minister and whether her days were numbered.

“Well certainly by the summer but I do think it does depend on a deal.

Mr Peston interrupted to ask whether this was true if the upcoming European Parliamentary elections are as “disastrous” as currently being predicted.

The Tory MP defiantly replied: “This is a Prime Minister whose demise has been predicted month after month and she is still there.

“There is no mechanism for the Conservative party to have another vote of confidence in her.

The host then noted that the 1922 committee said they may change the rules and “waved that around as a threat” before turning to question Brexiteer Steve Double.

Mr Peston asked whether it was sensible for Theresa May to remain in power to Mr Double.

Mr Double replied: “My view has been well established that we do need a change in leadership.

“I think Theresa May has got one more chance to try and get her deal through.

“If she fails with that then I think she really needs to stand down and let someone else have a go.”
