‘Remoaner’ Terry Christian faces Twitter backlash after furious GMB Brexit row

Broadcaster Terry Christian engaged in a furious row with Tory MP Mark Francois over Brexit on Good Morning Britain (GMB) on Tuesday morning. Mr Christian defended his insults aimed at Brexiteers and attacked Britons who voted to leave the European Union. As Mark Francois attempted to explain the vote had long been cast and the decision made, the two got into an intense argument.

Mr Christian said: “The car industry is already running down. It has already cost us more money just to leave than we have paid into the EU in 40 odd years.

“What have we got? Our MPs are saying let’s make Big Ben bong.

“How do we look to the rest of the world?”

Mr Francois snapped: “But the people voted for it. Democratically, you lost.

“They voted for it whether you like it or not.”

Mr Christian hit back: “They voted for it based on lies.

“They voted for it thinking that the EU are responsible for our immigration.

“We could reduce EU migrant workers here by 80 percent without leaving the EU.

“None EU immigrants, we could reduce by 100 percent.

“Now what is happening at the moment is nobody is saying what are the tangible benefits of Brexit.”

Good Morning Britain viewers were quick to share their opinions on Mr Christian’s Brexit attitude following the spat.

One user on Twitter wrote: “When will these Remoaners understand that they are doing more harm than good.”

Another added: “It will take less than two years to demonstrate Remainers are on the wrong side of history and they will never have the courage to say they were wrong.

Michael Hester also wrote: “And they wonder why the working classes despise them so much. What a revolting person.”

The backlash against the Remainer is likely to continue as his insulting tweet to Brexiteers is still being circulated on social media.
