Royal photographer Tim Rooke argued all the signs were hinting at Meghan and Harry opting for a home birth and this meant a photo was unlikely. He told Cosmopolitan UK: “I don’t think we’re going to see it at all. I think it’s going to be private.”

Mr Rooke explained his reasoning for believing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not have a public birth or take part in the traditional photo opportunity favoured by Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge or Princess Diana.

He said he was convinced because there has been no communication from the Palace about the birth.

Mr Rooke revealed with Kate and William’s children photographers had been briefed ahead of the birth.

He said: “At this point with Kate’s babies, we’d been briefed by the Palace.

“But we’ve had no briefings whatsoever.”

The photographer noted by this point normally “parking restrictions and all sorts of other things” signal the imminent arrival of a royal baby, but “there’s none of those”.

He said: “At this time, at St Mary’s for all the other three births, there was parking restrictions and all sorts of other things, and there’s none of those.

“They’ve already moved into Frogmore Cottage so why would they come up to West London to have the baby?”

The Shutterstock royal photographer also said he thought Baby Sussex could be introduced to the world via social media.

Harry and Meghan last week launched their very own Instagram page, which has already garnered an impressive 4.4 million followers with that number expected to rise.

Mr Rooke said: “Obviously they just launched their Instagram.

“If they want to keep it private they’ll just issue a picture and put it on Instagram.”

His comments were echoed by royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, who told The Sun: “There will be a huge demand for photos and it may well be no coincidence that they have just opened an Instagram account. 

“If there is no pose outside the hospital the couple, on this most personal of occasions, they will be sure to send photos to the millions awaiting them.
