After William, Kate, Charles and Camila sent the fans into a frenzy outside the Royal Albert Hall in London last Tuesday 28 September, they all went inside to watch the long-awaited addition to the James Bond saga: No Time To Die. Cast member Rami Malek had the privilege of sitting near the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and he told all about it during an interview with E! News.
“Meeting the royals, of course, it was rad.
“I have to say that.
“I met William, Prince William, Your Royal Highness Prince William, Princess Kate and Prince Charles of course at the BAFTAs and to see them again, it was fun, like meeting old friends actually,” said the actor.
“I sat right behind them in the royal box,” the Bohemian Rhapsody Oscar winner added.
“I was watching Prince William’s reaction.
“You can see a lot from what someone’s body language was doing.
“I think they loved the film.
“That was the impression I got.”
Speaking on the Royal Rota podcast, ITV’s royal editor Chris Ship said Kate Middleton completely eclipsed the cast of the movie on the red carpet including Malek himself.
“The Bond film, I mean obviously it had stars there, it’s got Daniel Craig and it’s got Rami Malek and lots of other people, but what you’re seeing is old Duchy, she was the star.
“The whole world is watching, everyone’s been waiting for this much-delayed premiere because of the pandemic and actually, you know there are times you think what’s the point in these royals turning up but they really did give it some pizzazz.”
Producer Lizzie Robinson continued: “I mean there was some real star appeal there and I think led by the Duchess of Cambridge who looked absolutely phenomenal in gold.”
