The Queen is facing demands to apologise after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry alleged that a member of the family – not the Queen or Duke of Edinburgh – made a racist comment about their unborn son. Palace officials reportedly had a prepared statement highlighting the family’s love and concern for the couple, but it was not signed off by the Queen. ITV Good Morning Britain guest Afua Adom erupted at the Monarch for keeping silent.
Ms Adom said: “It doesn’t feel like there is any mending or healing going on whatsoever.
“What I would like to see is for Buckingham Palace to come out and apologise for any racist claims being made.
“I know Harry has left a dangling string because we don’t know who said the comments about Archie’s skin colour and it of couse does up the ante because we ourselves can make up our own minds and play this guessing game which I don’t think is helpful.”
