Queen sends heartwarming tribute to granddaughter Princess Eugenie on wedding anniversary
The Royal Family Twitter account posted an adorable picture of Jack and Eugenie. The account is designed to update fans on the work of the Queen and members of her family. Eugenie and Jack tied the knot on October 12 last year.
The tweet included a champagne emoji and bride emoji and said: “Congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank on their 1st Wedding Anniversary!
“Today marks one year since Her Royal Highness and Mr Brooksbank exchanged vows as St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle on October 12th, 2018.”
Eugenie was the fifth of the Queen’s eight grandchildren to get married.
Her elder sister Princess Beatrice has recently announced her engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Beatrice’s marriage will mean all six of the Queen’s adult grandchildren are married.
Royal fans rushed to post their congratulations on Twitter Eugenie and Jack’s anniversary.
One user wrote: “Happy first wedding anniversary!”
Another declared: “Loved Eugenie’s dress and tiara!
“Happy Anniversary.”
Another said: “Wow that year flew.
“Congrats.”
Yet another said: “Blimey that’s gone quick!”

Notable guests at the wedding included Richard Bacon, Tamara Beckworth, Andrea Bocelli, Naomi Campbell, Jimmy Carr, Kate Moss, Stephen Fry, Liv Tyler, Demi Moore, James Blunt, Robbie Williams, Ricky Martin, Jamie Redknapp, Holly Valance and Jack Whitehall.
Iwan Wirth, Eugenie’s boss was also in attendance.
Eugenie works as a director for Hauser & Wirth art gallery.
She began the role in 2017 after two years as an associate director.
Prior to this, she worked in New York City as a benefit auctions manager for Paddle8.
She had graduated from Newcastle University with a 2:1 in 2012.
Eugenie studied for a combined BA honours degree in English literature, history of art and politics.
Beatrice also gained a 2:1.
She graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London with a degree in History and History of Ideas.
The Queen’s other grandchildren are Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn.
