The Queen has been “particularly sensitive” in helping Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge prepare for her future role as Queen Consort, according to a new report. The Duchess of Cambridge has been taking on an increasing number of roles through the years and has repeatedly accompanied Her Majesty on double engagements since marrying into the Royal Family. According to The Royal Family Channel, the Queen is appreciative of Kate’s work and wants to ensure she is fully prepared for the role she will need to cover alongside Prince William.

The report said: “The Queen has led her family through the trials and tribulations of royal life but has been particularly sensitive in guiding the future Queen, who was not born into royalty.

“Kate, like Queen Elizabeth, has won over the public with her quiet dignity and has shown she can navigate her way through constant media hype with a smile.

“Catherine, who will rise from Duchess to Princess of Wales to Queen Consort at her husband’s side, will surely combine tradition with modernity.

“She is doing a fine job managing life as a duchess and it proved she’s ready to stand at William’s side as Queen. This is one royal going from strength to strength representing the monarchy.”

The Queen has entrusted Kate with an increasing number of roles as Her Majesty began to offload her workload due to her age.

And in 2019, the Duchess of Cambridge was the latest member of the Royal Family to receive the Royal Victorian Order, becoming a Dame Grand Cross.

In 2017, Kate also received the Royal Family Order of Elizabeth II that is traditionally awarded at the discretion of the Queen to female family members and worn on formal occasions.

The Duchess debuted the award at a State Banquet held in honour of the King and Queen of the Netherlands.

The Queen and Prince Philip have entrusted Prince William and Kate with an increasing number of charities she used to patron.

In December 2019, Her Majesty passed on her patronage of Family Action to the Duchess of Cambridge after serving in the role for over 65 years.

Kate had previously taken on roles as patron to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) in Wimbledon and has been regularly attending the women’s finals since inheriting the role.

Despite the lockdown, Kate maintained a steady stream of virtual engagements and launched a photographic contest in cooperation with the National Portrait Gallery.

Commenting on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s extraordinary work during the outbreak, one royal commentator has claimed Kate has “relaxed wonderfully well” since joining the Royal Family.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk: “On Monday they will be voicing an advertisement for Public Health England’s Every Mind Matters which highlights where mental health support can be found during the current emergency.

“Owing to recent crises there are far fewer senior royals but the future King and Queen are, in their choice of charities and their recent appearances, playing a pivotal role in our national life.”
