Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge has gained the approval of the Queen over the last 10 years, as a royal expert claims that Her Majesty places “great trust” in the future of Prince William and Kate. After marrying into the Royal Family in 2011, Kate has increased her public profile and is now deemed a reliable figure to lead the monarchy into the future.

Royal expert Joe Little said: “You would think that the Queen very much regards Kate as a safe pair of hands.

“She’s been a member of the Royal Family for 10 years now, the 10th anniversary was back in April, but she was very much on the scene for quite a few years prior to that, because as it was well-documented, Kate and William were living together for quite some time, which in itself was quite revolutionary.

“I think given all that’s gone on in the past few years with the Royal Family in terms of all the fallouts and the debacle with the Duke of York and then the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, the Queen has great trust in Kate.

The managing editor of Majesty magazine also pointed out that Kate received the Royal Family Order in 2017, a special honour that is given to senior members of the family at the Queen’s discretion.

The Royal Family Order is only worn during formal state engagements and includes a small portrait of the monarch painted on ivory, surrounded by diamonds, and placed over a ribbon.

He continued: “Only a few years ago, she gave her what’s called the Royal Family Order.

“It’s something that’s only given to the female members of the Royal Family, who have been around for quite some time and are deemed to be of great support to the Queen, so not every female member of the Royal Family has got it but Kate now has.

“So I would say that the Queen has great trust in the future prince and princess of Wales, as William and Catherine will be one day, and in time, King William V and Queen Catherine.

“It seems safe to assume that the Queen regards this couple as very much the future of the British monarchy in the 21st century.

Kate Middleton 'never lets down' says royal expert

Kate and Prince William visited Northern Ireland yesterday, where they met with medical students at  Ulster University Magee Campus at Londonderry.

The Duchess of Cambridge stunned the crowds with a smart purple Emilia Wickstead pantsuit and enjoyed a pint of Guinness in the university’s Student Union.

She also held a tarantula named Charlotte and met a snake during the whirlwind visit.

The couple’s engagements in Northern Ireland follow their red carpet appearance on Tuesday evening at the No Time To Die premiere at the Royal Albert Hall.

Prince William and Kate joined Prince Charles and Camilla for the latest installment in the 007 franchise and celebrated actor Daniel Craig’s final outing as the infamous James Bond.

Several royal fans and commentators praised the Duchess’s gold Jenny Packham dress, with Daniel Craig telling her: “You look jolly lovely”.

The Cambridges have recently been conducting several engagements as they launch themselves back into royal duties following their summer break.

Over the summer holidays period, the couple spent time with their three young children in Norfolk, Balmoral, and the south of France, as they stepped away from the spotlight for a few weeks.

Prince William and Kate celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary earlier this year by releasing a sweet video of them playing with their children; Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three.
