Queen Camilla ‘deeply saddened’ to hear of Paul O’Grady’s death
Camilla holds onto her hat as royals arrive at Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey
Queen Consort Camilla has paid tribute to Paul O’Grady following his death at the age of 67. A touching post was shared on the Royal Family’s Twitter page: “Deeply saddened to hear of the death of Paul O’Grady, who worked closely with Her Majesty in support of @Battersea, providing lots of laughter and many waggy-tailed memories.”
Camilla is just one of many famous faces to pay tribute to the beloved TV presenter and dog lover, with Piers Morgan and Carol Vorderman paying their respects to the TV legend.
It was revealed this morning that the TV and radio star had passed away “unexpectedly but peacefully” last night, according to his husband Andre Portasio.
He had previously enjoyed a special bond with the Queen Consort, saying he always had a “great laugh” with her.
He told MailOnline’s Richard Eden: “Camilla’s a really funny woman. You can have a great laugh with her and you don’t feel like you’re on ceremony.”
