Princess Kate pays heartwarming tribute to late Queen at special royal summit

Princess Kate celebrates six months of the ‘Shaping Us’ campaign

Princess Kate paid a heartwarming tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II as members of the Royal Family gathered at Balmoral Castle on Sunday.

The Princess of Wales was snapped in the car with her husband Prince Wales and disgraced royal Prince Andrew as the group headed to the castle in the Scottish Highlands.

They met other senior royals here for the first summer gathering since the late Queen’s passing.

In a sweet tribute, Kate was donning a brown tartan jacket and smart feathered fedora hat and was dressed in earthy tones of brown, green, red and blue to mark the occasion.

The jacket had a trademark “Balmoral tartan” design in keeping with the Scottish legacy of the castle.

She also wore her hair in a low chignon bun with braids fed through her glossy brunette locks.

All senior working royals were seen going to church for a traditional morning service.

Other senior royals at the gathering include King Charles and Queen Camilla and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie and Edward.

They were accompanied by Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.

Also pictured attending Crathie Kirk church was Lady Susan Hussey, the late Queen’s lady-in-waiting and one of her closest confidantes.

The meeting marks the first time the Windsors have come together at the late Queen’s beloved Scottish estate.

The Queen died at Balmoral Castle on September 8, 2022.

The estate, which was the late Queen’s favourite royal residence, is located in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire.

This summer marks the first time the Royal Family will be spending their summer holidays in Balmoral without the late monarch.

In her final days, a stream of relatives spent time with her at the castle, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

The King has decided to honour his late mother and stay at the Scottish residence for three weeks to be there on the anniversary of his mother’s death.
