Princess Kate is switching from dresses to trouser-suits for very simple reason

The Princess of Wales is known for wowing royal fans with her elegant style choices, with the public often keen to get their hands on what the royal is wearing.

With all eyes on her sharp fashion decisions, one thing that hasn’t gone unnoticed is her decision to wear chic trouser suits this year.

The royal has been seen switching out dresses and hoping to dress to impress with an array of trousers suits, even taking style tips from the late Queen and choosing to shine in bright shades.

With this being said, it is clear that there is one reason behind Kate’s decision to switch things up every so often, which is so that “people will notice her”.

Last week, the 41-year-old stepped out in an elegant designer floor-length gown to celebrate King Charles’s 75th birthday.

The following day, the Princess switched things up by opting for a smart purple trouser suit designed by Emilia Wickstead for her Shaping Us initiative.

Speaking to GB News about the royal’s fashion, style expert Susie Nelson said there are tactics that go into choosing her outfits.

Discussing Kate’s stunning gown at the King’s birthday celebrations, Ms Nelson said: “Kate’s choice of evening gown for the King’s birthday celebration was quite a clever one. The colour green is bright and powerful.

“Black would have been a bit bleak, and red too festive.

“Needle and Thread who produced the dress are known for using responsibly sourced fabrication and a commitment to sustainability.”

Speaking of Kate’s purple suit, which was a repeat outfit, Ms Nelson added: “The purple trouser suit by Emilia Wickstead, which Kate wore for the Early Childhood Development conference, was another careful choice.

“The colour ensures people notice her and she is visible but is also considered to be the colour of royalty.

“A trouser suit is business-like, and reflects her growing confidence and status within the Royal Family.”

As well as huge designers, Kate is also known to never shy away from high street pieces.

Much to the delight of royal fans, Princess Kate is a fan of fashion favourite Zara and loves a simple, yet elegant, blazer.

Back in October, when Kate cheered on England in the Rugby World Cup quarter finals in France, she chose to wear a white boucle double-breasted blazer with gold buttons.
