Kate Middleton plays tennis with Roger Federer at Wimbledon
Princess Kate enjoyed a charming interaction with a young fan during her trip to Wimbledon last week as the little boy called out to her on her way to Centre Court. Embodying classic tennis colours in a mint green Balmain blazer and white pleated skirt, Kate watched British No. 1 Katie Boulter before joining eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer in the Royal Box, with the Princess expected to make a return visit to the tournament soon.

In the cute previously unseen video posted to a royal fan Instagram account, the Princess is seen walking out to Centre Court when she hears the little boy cry out “Hi Princess!”.
She pauses and heads over for a chat, stooping down to talk to him at his level as she admires his “very cool” toy submarine.
Kate asks his name before telling his family it was nice to meet them and wishes them well as she says goodbye.
Fans shared their adoration for the Princess in the comments, with account @joycebrown9023 posting: “She is a mother first. She knows kids like attention. So she stops. bends to his level and makes his year.”

Kate’s own children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have not attended the tournament with her, as they had not yet broken up from school when she went last week.
Her eldest George is known to be keen on the sport, having been at Wimbledon last year and enjoying a tennis lesson with Kate’s friend and Royal Box companion Roger Federer.
The tennis legend said of the experience: “I love to see that they’re into tennis or into sports… his mum has always enjoyed their tennis… I hope that he’ll still say the same in a few years’ time.”
When it comes to her children, Kate is known for taking relaxed and intimate pictures of her family every year for their birthdays, with royal watchers keeping an eye out for new images when they know a special day is coming up.
However the Princess revealed that George, Charlotte and Louis are not the biggest fans when she gets her camera out.
She told a finalist in her Hold Still photography contest in 2021: “It’s like me. Everyone’s like: ‘Mummy, please stop taking photographs!”
Her photo of Queen Camilla for the cover of last year’s 125th anniversary issue of Country Life magazine even won an award for Cover of the Year at the PPA Awards.
