Princess Kate channels her inner-Barbie with striking all-pink outfit

Kate joins school pupils for Chelsea Flower Show’s first children’s picnic

Princess Kate has been showing off no shortage of pink outfits lately, royal commentators have noticed. Recently, the Princess of Wales wore a pastel pink pantsuit with a fitted pink shirt of the same shade for a visit to a museum in London.

She wore the Alexander McQueen look with a white belt with pearl details and earrings. The Camilla Elphick belt was teamed with white pointed heels, and it’s not the first time she’s donned an all-pink look over the past few days, reports The Daily Express US.

Earlier in the week a bright pink dress worn by the future caused a frenzy, selling out almost instantly. Kate wore the dress to the Chelsea Flower Show in London, where she spent her time speaking to children about the importance of gardening and spending time outdoors.

To compliment the outfit, Kate wore her hair in loose curls with Zoraida silver leaf earrings and Castaner wedge shoes. One fashion expert has pointed out that Kate’s recent pink phase is staying on top of current trends.

Miranda Holder is an acclaimed celebrity stylist who has worked with various stars, such as the band Little Mix and musician Boy George.

Miranda explained: “The trend I’m talking about is Barbiecore. Oh yes, I’m serious! Bubblegum pink is definitely in season in line with the film.”

She added that Kate has done a “brilliant job” of keeping herself “bang up to date” with what is happening in fashion by wearing her “gorgeous” pink dress.

Kate’s pink dress is from the London brand ME + EM and costs for £315 – but it’s now sold out. Miranda said: “The dress is currently sold out online, so surprises there, but you can preorder it for the coming months…it is one of the more affordable pieces in Kate’s wardrobe, [and] shirt dresses also suit all body types no matter [what].”

Miranda also points out that ME + EM “the Princess’s favourite and more affordable brand” that Kate has worn “time and time again.”

The fashion expert said the Princess of Wales was a “vision in pink” at the Chelsea Flower Show. She also made note that the Princess’ dress had been worn before.

Miranda said: “[This is] also not the first time we’ve seen Kate wear this dress. In 2021, she wore it to meet a fan at Holyrood house.

“The story goes that before Kate traveled to Holyrood House, she asked the fan what she would like to be wearing, and the little girl answered a pink dress, and so here we are. One happy very little girl and one wonderfully pink and pretty Princess.”
