Princess Eugenie, 30, and husband Jack Brooksbank are preparing to welcome their royal baby any day. The couple confirmed their pregnancy last autumn sharing that their little one was due in “early 2021.” Since then a friend of the couple’s has claimed the baby is due in “mid-February” which means the bundle of joy could arrive in time for Prince Andrew’s, 60, birthday on February 19.

Eugenie’s parents Prince Andrew and Fergie are said to be excited about welcoming their first grandchild.

An official statement released at the time of Eugenie’s pregnancy announcement read: “The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news.”

Despite having divorced in 1996, Fergie and Andrew still live together at the Royal Lodge residence in Great Windsor Park.

Their home is a short distance from Frogmore Cottage where Eugenie and Jack are currently based.

Frogmore Cottage is Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle’s UK home but it is reported to be on loan to Eugenie and Jack as the Sussexes are now based in the USA full time.

Prince Andrew withdrew from public life last November following backlash over a TV interview about his links to dead paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

While big Royal Family birthdays are usually marked by Union Flags being hung from Government buildings, last year the Duke of York’s 60th birthday went by quietly without any pomp and ceremony.

This year, however, Andrew could celebrate a very special birthday as it may immediately follow the birth of his first grandchild.

Where will Princess Eugenie give birth?

While it is not known where Eugenie plans to give birth she could follow in the footsteps of other royal mums and choose to have her child in hospital.

Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson and Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle both opted for London’s private Portland Hospital to give birth.

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, 39, and Princess Diana favoured the private Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital instead.

Eugenie is unlikely to share any details of her birth plan until after the baby arrives.

Where will the first pictures of Eugenie’s baby be shared?

Royal mums usually pose for the press with their newborns shortly after the birth.

However, as a non-senior royal Eugenie is unlikely to have an official photoshoot.

Instead, the royal who is a regular Instagram user could choose to share the first pictures of her baby with fans on social media instead.

Lockdown is due to remain in place in England until March which may mean Eugenie’s baby will have to wait several weeks before it can meet the wider Royal Family.

Despite being heavily pregnant Princess Eugenie made a surprise appearance on Friday to pay tribute to the victims of the 2004 Morecambe Bay cockling disaster.

The princess joined her friend and fellow co-founder of the Anti-Slavery Collective, Julia de Boinville for the special video message.
