According to the tequila salesman, the family can slip out of one of the many secret passages underneath the Queen’s main London residence, and head straight to Dukes Bar. Princess Eugenie’s husband allegedly shared details of the corridor while at a party in London which was sponsored by his tequila brand, Casamigos. Dukes Bar has a five-star rating and is famous for its £17 martinis, that according to the New York Times, are “one of the world’s best.”

Sky News Australia said: “The Queen reportedlty has a secret booze tunnel under Buckingham Palace, and that’s according to a close member in the Royal Family.”

“Princess Eugenie’s husband revealed that there is a secret underground tunnel that leads straight to a cocktail bar from the Palace.

“The Star reported Jack Brooksbank shared the information with the Daily Mail’s royal editor at a recent party.

“Daily Mail’s royal editor Richard Eden claimed Mr. Brooksbank said: ‘There is one to Dukes Bar from St. James’ Palace. I haven’t used it yet, but I’d love to check it out.

Sky News Australia added: “According to [the Queen’s] cousin Margaret Rhodes, Her Majesty enjoys a martini every evening.”

St James’s Palace is the most senior royal palace in the United Kingdom and is just around the corner from Buckingham Palace.

The residence was once home to members of the royal family, like Princesses Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Princess Alexandra.

Princess Anne uses the location for her London base when she is in and around the city for engagements.

When she is not in London, Anne lives at Gatcombe Park, alongside her daughter Zara Tindall, and her husband Mike.

Prince Edward, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, and their daughter Lady Louise have recently had to move themselves to St. James’s Palace while the refurbishments are done on their London home just around the corner. 

The Palace was built under Henry VIII between 1531 and 1536, on the site of the Hospital of St. James, Westminster. 

The Palace has also hosted several royal christenings in the chapel attached, Chapel Royal.

Prince William and Prince Harry lived in the York House wing of St. James’s Palace before Clarence House became their father Prince Charles’ official residence.

The Queen’s royal court is still officially based in the central London residence despite Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle being her main homes.
