Alongside with two pictures showing the couple smiling and hugging, Eugenie wrote: “Jack and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary today… and we are lucky enough to be together at this time.”

⁣She then invited frontline workers also celebrating their anniversary to share with her their stories.

Eugenie continued: “If anyone has an anniversary this week, if you are together or not because of this challenging time, if you are a frontline worker wishing to tell your person you love them, then please do send me a photo and message via DM of how you are celebrating and I will share your messages on my story over the next few days.”

Kate and Prince William usually celebrate their anniversary privately.

This year, they are spending their big day at Anmer Hall, their home in Norfolk, with their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – as they are complying with the Government guidelines on coronavirus.

While the lockdown may be a test for many couples, Kate and William have already shown they are a great team and will likely come out even stronger from these weeks in seclusion, according to a relationship expert.

Relationship coach Sami Wunder told Express.co.uk: “I honestly believe that Kate and William have always been a solid couple.

“They have always had a strong link, so in times like this they will become stronger than ever and I think being in lockdown will bring them closer together.

“I don’t think they will care about being in lockdown, I think they are grateful to be having this time together as a family without any external pressures and happy that everyone is healthy and they are counting their blessings.

“I believe they are making the most of this opportunity by having gratitude for their health, their wonderful children and their supportive family.”
