Princess Eugenie shares emotional Mother’s Day tribute to Sarah Ferguson
Eugenie took to Instagram to post a series of pictures with the Duchess of York to mark the day. And in the caption, she said she wanted to “celebrate all the mothers that can’t be with their children today” amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The first photo shows Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank with Sarah standing between them.
The next two are adorable throwback snaps of a young Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice with their mother.
And the last image is a more recent image of Eugenie and Sarah posing in a garden.
Eugenie said: “Happy Mother’s Day!! Today I want to celebrate my mumma but also all the amazing mothers out there.
“I would like to celebrate all the mothers that can’t be with their children today because they are saving lives or keeping their distance to keep them and their children safe.
“Today and every day we should tell our loved ones how much we love and cherish them.”
The post prompted a string of comments from Eugenie’s followers.
One said: “Happy Mother’s Day to your amazing mum, she’s such an inspiration for so many people, me included! Hope you’re all enjoying time together and staying safe!”
Another replied: “A very happy Mother’s Day to your lovely mum!”
A third wrote: “Happy Mother’s Day Sarah. Hope you have a lovely day with your beautiful girls.”

A fifth added: “Ah, such lovely pics! And wonderful message. Sending love to you all.”
Eugenie’s post is the latest in a number of royal Mother’s Day messages.
Prince William and Kate shared four pictures to celebrate the day, including a previously unseen photo of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The other images were of Princess Diana, Carole Middleton and the card George gave Kate.
In the caption, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said: “To mothers new and old and families spending today together and apart – we are thinking of you all at this difficult time. Happy Mother’s Day.”
The Royal Family’s social media accounts posted a black and white photo of the Queen, then Princess Elizabeth, with her mother, Queen Elizabeth.
The picture was taken in 1951 and they are holding on to their hats as they arrive at Westminster Abbey for a wedding.
The message read: “Mothering Sunday is a chance to thank and celebrate all mothers and caregivers, wherever they may be.

“Today may be a different and difficult day for those who would usually plan to spend time with their mothers, as we adapt to the necessary changes and disruption to our normal routine and regular patterns of life.
“But for all Mums everywhere, we are thinking of you, and wish you all a very special #mothersday.”
Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Camilla also wished people a Happy Mother’s Day “particularly in a year when families may not be able to be together”.
They posted a childhood picture of Charles playing in the Clarence House garden in 1950.
