Princess Eugenie ‘more free’ than Kate or Meghan to snub royal baby tradition for own take
Princess Eugenie ‘has free reign in announcing baby’ says expert
Princess Eugenie has “more free reign” when it comes to announcing the arrival of her baby, a royal commentator has explained. The Queen’s granddaughter is expected to give birth to her first child perhaps as soon as February. Femail Editor Charlie Lankston spoke to Access about whether she would follow tradition like Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.
Ms Lankston said: “I don’t think the arrival of Eugenie’s baby will have quite the same pomp and circumstance that the arrival of Kate and William’s children did.
“I don’t think that they will do the same kind of royal photocall that Meghan did after she gave birth to Archie.
“I think that is the great thing about being in the position that Eugenie is in.
“She has a little bit more free reign in terms of how she chooses to announce the arrival of her child.”

The commentator continued: “She’s a very prolific Instagram user.
“It may well be that she decides to announce the arrival of her child on her own social media pages.
“She could, of course, choose to go the official route and release a statement through the Royal Family.
“However I think it would be a much more personal way of doing it for her to release an image or perhaps just an official announcement just on her own social media.”
