Royal expert Camilla Tominey told ITV’s This Morning that Prince Andrew’s daughters are grounded, well mannered and polite. Ms Tominey stated that the Queen is very close to her granddaughters as she had more time to be around them than when she was raising her children.
Ms Tominey said: “Beatrice basically grew around the corner from Windsor Castle, Beatrice went to school in Ascot and saw a lot of granny.
“Some could say in many respects because the Queen had more time to be around for them, she is almost closer to her grandchildren than her children sometimes and Beatrice in particular.
“She is a lovely girl, both the daughters in the past have caught some flack in the press because of the association with their parents.
“There parents seem to be a bit over privileged and grasping.
“Anyone who has met Bea and Eug as they are known say that throughout all of this, they have obviously been devasted by what has happened to their father.
“At the same time they are very grounded, very well mannered and polite.”
Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges related to the alleged abuse of hundreds of girls before.
The Duke of York has denied any involvement with the “abhorrent” activities of Mr Epstein through several statements from the Palace.
Prince Andrew earlier this year claimed he had offered his support and help to US authorities.
Prince Andrew last year addressed the Epstein affair in a controversial BBC Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis.
The Duke of York underwent a 50-minute exchange with Ms Maitlis in which he answered a series of questions on his relationship with the disgraced billionaire.
The programme sparked widespread public backlash both in the UK and abroad, and ultimately led to Andrew temporarily resigning from his public duties in November 2019.

Prince William was “horrified” by Prince Andrew’s interview regarding his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein according to a royal commentator.
During Channel 5’s royal documentary ‘William & Kate: Too Good To Be True’ Tom Quinn discussed the Duke of Cambridge’s reaction to Prince Andrew’s interview.
Mr Quinn said: “Pretty much everyone told Andrew it was a great mistake to give an interview to explain a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
“You can’t control it and Andrew is no genius so he said some very silly things in the interview.
“They would have horrified William.”
