Princess Eugenie delights her royal fans by sharing photo revealing her secret pastime
The 29-year-old was pictured bent over a garden patch with green gloves on potting planting in the sunshine. Her hobby is a good cause having just become patron of Horatio’s Garden, which creates beautiful gardens at spinal injury centres around the country. She said: “Since learning about this charity back in 2016, I have fallen in love with their mission to bring joy to people and help their recovery.”
She also said she has been a fan of the charity for some time.
She said: “In 2017 I was able to visit Horatio’s Garden in Scotland, and in March this year I saw the site that has been identified at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, where I underwent spinal surgery.
“As a former spinal patient myself, I understand how the chance to get outside is so beneficial not only for recovery, but for staying positive at a life-changing, and often traumatic, time.”
The Princess, whose mother and father are the Duke and Duchess of York, has often raised awareness of scoliosis, after she had corrective surgery to fix the curve in her spine at the tender age of 12.
She revealed her scar to the world in a backless wedding dress last October during her nuptials to husband Jack Brooksbank.
Last month, dress designer Zac Posen shared an unseen picture on Instagram to mark the princess’s 29th birthday.

I am so happy to become patron of Horatio’s Garden. @horatiosgarden creates beautiful, and completely accessible, gardens for all patients at spinal injury centres across the UK. Since learning about this charity back in 2016, I have fallen in love with their mission to bring joy to people and help their recovery. In 2017 I was able to visit Horatio’s Garden in Scotland, and in March this year I saw the site that has been identified at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, where I underwent spinal surgery. As a former spinal patient myself, I understand how the chance to get outside is so beneficial not only for recovery, but for staying positive at a life-changing, and often traumatic, time. I hope to learn from the patients I meet and the wonderful people working to create these gardens. #garden

In the photo, Eugenie is smiling while Mr Posen adjusts the pleated train of the dress.
The American designer captioned the snap: “Every now and then you meet somebody who just knocks your socks off.
“This last year I got to know a young lady who possessed natural elegance, a heart of gold and sophisticated humor.
“My studio and I had the honor (and the best time) collaborating with her on her special gown.
“Best of all she is dedicated to using her privilege to help our world and its people with her project @the_anti_slavery_collective. Happy Birthday! @princesseugenie.”
The post sent royal followers wild with one describing the dress as “just breathtaking”.
