On the third anniversary of Meghan and Harry’s wedding, Princess Beatrice announced she was expecting her first child with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The couple’s child is expected in the autumn of this year.
However, her younger sister reportedly hit out at Beatrice for taking the attention away from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
This comes after Meghan and Harry reportedly announced they were expecting their first child, Archie, at Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding in 2018.
But now a source said Eugenie – who is still close to Meghan – believes the Royal Family needs to resolve their issues with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
A source said: “Eugenie is still extremely close to Meghan, as is Jack, and they feel it was really unfair to grab the headlines that day.
“Eugenie didn’t approve of the decision to shun Meghan and Harry’s anniversary — she feels that they have been incredibly hard-done-by.”
The source continued to Heat magazine: “Eugenie is very forgiving — which is a surprise to a lot of people, especially when you consider how it was an open secret that she found it hurtful that Meghan’s pregnancy announcement was made on the day of her and Jack’s wedding.
“But she’s very much of the opinion that this feud has gone on way too long and everyone needs to forget the past.
“For Beatrice to announce her baby news on that day was uncalled for, in her view.”
Beatrice and Edoardo were spotted last week just hours before Prince Harry announced the birth of his second child.
Meghan gave birth to a baby girl, named Lilibet Diana, on Friday at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara.
The couple confirmed Meghan and Lilibet are currently “settling in at home”.
Lilibet is the younger sister of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who is aged two.

Harry and Meghan announced the happy news with a statement that read: “It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world.
“Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11.40am in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA.
“She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz (3.5kg). Both mother and child are healthy and well and settling in at home.
“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet.
“Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honour her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”
Princess Eugenie sent a touching message to her “dear cousins” following the birth of their daughter.
Harry’s cousin shared her delight at the news as she posted on Instagram: “Congratulations dear cousins…we couldn’t be happier for you all”, followed by a string of heart emojis.
Harry and Meghan revealed they were expecting a baby in March during their explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
It was a lighter moment during a broadcast that left the monarchy in crisis.
Meghan accused an unnamed member of the royal family of racism, saying they expressed concern about how dark Archie’s skin tone might be before he was born.
The Duchess also criticised the institution for not helping her when she was reportedly suicidal.
