Princess Eugenie stunned royal fans when her lockdown exploits were revealed after a recent virtual engagement. To celebrate International Nurses Day, many members of the Royal Family joined a Zoom call, speaking to nurses from around the world. HeirPod host and royal expert Omid Scobie discussed what the other family members are doing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He told listeners: “We heard that Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank have actually been secretly helping the Salvation Army here in the UK.

“They’re also looking into ways they can help hospitals.

“So Eugenie very recently posted a few photos from a recent volunteer session that she and Jack had had.

“The Salvation Army have been helping people in times of crisis and need since 1865.”

Mr Scobie continued: “It’s very much part of British society in every crisis that we have faced.

“I think it was important for them to be involved.

“It was great to see them outside of their homes because a lot of what we see is through Zoom and people sitting in their living rooms.

“It’s also great to see that they are not afraid to be out and about and actually get their hands dirty.”

In her Instagram post, the Princess wrote: “Since 1865 the Salvation Army has been there with open doors to help so many people.

“In the past few years I have witnessed first hand their dedication and hard work, so when they invited Jack and I to their newly created hub to pack boxes, we jumped at the chance.

“As a group of volunteers we helped pack trolleys of food that are then taken and distributed to the Army’s hugely important and much needed food banks that feed thousands across the UK.

“Their message is key – their doors are open, always have been and always will be.”

Eugenie and Jack are currently isolating with her parents, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, at Royal Lodge, Windsor.

The couple celebrated their 10th anniversary a few weeks ago.

Her older sister Princess Beatrice was supposed to marry her fiance in May.

However, due to the ban on mass gatherings the nuptials have been postponed.

The royal is currently isolating in her London flat.
