The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child as thousands of fans descended on Windsor. Both Harry and Meghan have already become widely popular across the world and have now been praised by Princess Diana’s photographer, Arthur Edwards. Writing for The Sun, Mr Edwards insisted that Meghan and Diana share one key quality which makes them both so adored.

According to Mr Edwards, Meghan is a “natural” when it comes to interacting with children and has taken that “quality to a new level”.

Writing in his column for the paper Mr Edwards said: “Meghan has taken the interaction with children that Diana began to a whole new level.

“As an actress and showbiz star she has been interacting with the public for many years — and she is a natural with kids.

“Just recently in Morocco, though heavily pregnant she crouched down low and stayed talking to a little girl for ages, oblivious of the strong sun.

“When they do walkabouts, Harry often has to wait for her because she is so busy speaking with people, old and young.”

Both Meghan and Harry have proven to be incredibly approachable during their duties as a couple.

Like Meghan, Mr Edwards also likened Harry’s quality with children to his mother’s.

Mr Edwards said: “Just as Diana taught him, he gets down to their level and often tries to make them smile.

“He can’t stop himself — it’s like he becomes a kid again.”

Speaking after the birth of his son, Harry praised his wife while also speaking of his “absolute thrill” at the arrival of his child.

He said: “It was amazing, absolutely incredible, and, as I said, I’m so incredibly proud of my wife.

“As every father and parent will ever say, you know, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to-die-for, so I’m just over the moon.”
