Princess Charlotte could be the first British Royal to break lockdown as she is in the age bracket of primary school children who will have to return to school on June 1. The middle child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attends Thomas’s School in Battersea, London.
The five-year-old will have to leave the Cambridge country residence Anmer Hall and return to Kensington Palace when schools start up again in June.
Five-year-old Charlotte attends private school Thomas’s Battersea alongside her brother Prince George.
However, Prince George will not be starting back at school with her – Princess Charlotte is in year one currently, and only reception, year one and year six children will be returning to school on June 1.
Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge have also been homeschooling their children, like millions of others up and down the country.

Speaking to the BBC via video call, the couple opened up about what their family has been getting up to since lockdown was introduced.
Kate said: “Children have got such stamina. I don’t know how, honestly.
“You get to the end of the day and you write a list of all the things you’ve done in that day.”
“You’ve pitched a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake, you get to the end of the day and they’ve had a lovely time. It’s amazing how much you can cram into one day, that’s for sure.”
She also admitted they carried on their school routine during the Easter holidays.
She also said she had spoken to her young children about coronavirus, trying to explain it to them in a way that children can understand and not be scared by.
She said: “You don’t want to scare them and make it too over-whelming.
“I think it is appropriate to acknowledge it in the simple ways and in the age appropriate ways.”

Usually, Princess Charlotte and her brother would be attending Thomas’s School, Battersea, which comes in at more than £6000 a term.
The Cambridge children have reportedly been doing “remote learning” with Thomas’s, as the school moved in line with Government lockdown rules and began teaching and putting learning resources online.
At the time of closing, a spokesperson for the school said: “Due to the increasing numbers of children and staff being absent from school due to the Coronavirus situation, Thomas’s London Day Schools have decided to move to remote learning from Friday 20 March.
“From this date the curriculum will be taught through online learning platforms and we have asked parents to keep their children at home and to access their lessons through this system.
“This will ensure that children have continuity of learning when they are unable to attend school.”
Announcing the easing of restrictions earlier this month, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “On step two – at the earliest by June 1 – after half term – we believe we may be in a position to begin the phased reopening of shops and to get primary pupils back into schools, in stages, beginning with reception, Year 1 and Year 6.
“Our ambition is that secondary pupils facing exams next year will get at least some time with their teachers before the holidays.
“And we will shortly be setting out detailed guidance on how to make it work in schools and shops and on transport.”
