Princess Charlotte makes all kinds of faces at swimming with Kate and William
Proving she’s not only a football fan, Princess Charlotte has been pictured cheering on swimmers at the Commonwealth Games with her parents.
The three were at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Smethwick, the only brand-new venue for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Charlotte seemed to be enjoying herself, making plenty of faces – though nothing to compete with Prince Louis at the Platinum Jubilee.
Her faces seemed to be because she was so involved in the action, looking on with nerves or surprise at who was going to win.
She sat in between dad Prince William and mum Kate Middleton, who seemed happy to be there but not quite as excited.
It comes just two days after England won the Women’s Euro 2022 final at Wembley.
Princess Charlotte had joined in a video with her dad wishing the team good luck.
In the recorded message, the Duke of Cambridge said: ‘We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck for tonight.
‘You’ve done amazingly well in the competition and we are rooting for you all the way.’
Filmed beside her dad in a garden, Charlotte added: ‘Good luck, I hope you win’.
Smiling at the camera, she then waved and said ‘bye’.
There has been quite a buzz around the swimming, with double Olympic champion Tom Dean saying last week: ‘The whole energy around this is bigger than any other competition we’ve been a part of.
‘Everyone’s calling it the biggest thing since London 2012.
‘It’s getting the coverage we want, there are eyes on swimming, eyes on the English stars and that’s only going to do great things for the sport.’
