Charlotte has allegedly earned herself a new nickname being called ‘warrior princess’ by her classmates.

The Princess who is fourth in line for the throne has been given the moniker due to her ‘feisty’ personality and ‘adventurous’ streak.

The second child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, seven, has been called a ‘warrior’ by schoolmates during her first year at Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington, west London.

Last year all three Royal children were seen in their school uniform as they attended the private Lambrook School near Ascot.

Royal expert, Katie Nicholl told US show Entertainment Tonight that Charlotte’s ‘tomboy’ interests have earnt her the quirky nickname of ‘warrior princess’.

She added that the princess is known for being very adventurous and therefore might retain her nickname throughout her school years.

She said: ‘Apparently she earned that nickname because obviously, she is a princess, but she’s quite a tomboy.

‘She loves climbing trees and she’s very much an adventurer, she was quite known for her feisty personality. I’m wondering if that might be a nickname that will stick with her.’

‘Warrior Princess’ is just one of the many nicknames given to the Princess, with her family using several different terms of affection to refer to her.

Her mother, Kate, has been overheard speaking about her daughter and giving her the name ‘Lottie’ – a shortening of the name ‘Charlotte’.

During a recent visit to Northern Ireland, Kate, 41, chatted to a member of the public about the age of their son, to which she replied: ‘Oh, he’s the same age as Lottie.’

Prince William, in turn, often refers to his daughter by a different nickname and calls her ‘Mignonette’, which means ‘small and delicate’ in French.

But if reports are to be believed, the bold young princess has long outgrown her father’s nickname and is finding her own way in the world.

The young princess has also demonstrated her maturity in more recent appearances, not least at the funeral of her beloved ‘Gan Gan’, Queen Elizabeth.

As she stood next to her older brother Prince George outside Westminster Abbey at the state funeral of the late monarch, she appeared to tell her brother ‘you need to bow’ as the Queen’s coffin drove past.

And it seems Prince George knew to listen to his younger sister’s advice, as he quickly obliged.
