Charlene, 43, has been forced to remain in her former homeland since May, due to health issues leaving her unable to fly. She had originally flown out to South Africa to take part in an anti-poaching wildlife mission for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.
But when she arrived, Charlenex experienced a severe ENT (ear, nose and throat) infection.
The 43-year-old princess has said that she “can’t wait to get home” to see her children, six-year-old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.
Speaking on a podcast last week, recorded at the home she has been staying in since May, Princess Charlene said she misses them “terribly”.
Her return from South Africa will coincide with Monaco’s National Day, which falls on Friday, November 19.
Also known as the Sovereign Prince’s Day, it marks the official ascension of Prince Albert to the throne in 2005.
It has been a tradition in the Monégasque principality since 1857, but the date can change depending on the reigning prince.
Giving an update on Princess Charlene’s health, Prince Albert said “she is much better”.
He told French publication Point de Vue: “This last operation which concerned the nasal septum went very well. We will be able to consider her return very soon.
“And I can tell you that she will be in Monaco long before the national holiday.
“It is not possible for me to give you the exact date, but I promise you will know when the time comes.”
According to 9Honey, Princess Charlene said she was “feeling much stronger”.
She said: “I came to South Africa to oversee some foundation projects.

“I was unwell at the time, unknowingly, and I had an infection which was addressed immediately.
“Unfortunately, it grounded me for some months here in South Africa. I had my one procedure which was very successful. I’m well, I’m feeling much stronger.”
Charlene was unable to fly under doctors’ orders, due to her inner pressure being unable to “equalise”.
This was the Princess’s second visit to South Africa his year, travelling previously for the funeral of King Goodwill Zwelithini of the Zulu nation.
Prince Albert is due to attend the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow next week, along with British royals and more than 100 world leaders.
When asked about his views on the climate crisis, Prince Albert said that he would “naturally think of my children”.
The Queen “regretfully” announced she would not be attending the summit, following doctor orders to rest.
She will be represented instead by her son Prince Charles, and Grandson Prince William.
Following the summit, Prince Albert will return to Monaco to await Princess Charlene’s arrival.
