Relationships with royals often dominate discussion with observers and fans alike, with many commenting on who single members of the Firm may be dating. But once they have found their partner, the conversation quickly turns to the future and what it might hold for those inside the world’s most recognisable family. Beatrice, 33, had a long-term relationship with Uber executive Dave Clark, before settling down with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The couple wed in a secret ceremony last year, with the likes of her grandmother the Queen and Prince Philip in attendance, and most recently welcomed their first child together, Sienna Elizabeth.
In a statement, Beatrice announced the new addition, adding: “So delighted to share the news of the safe arrival of our daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.
“Thank you to the Midwife team and everyone at the hospital for their wonderful care.”
Her daughter, the fourth royal baby to be born in 2021 after Meghan Markle, Zara Tindall and Princess Eugenie gave birth, is Her Majesty’s 12 great-grandchild, and is the 11th in line to the throne.
But prior to her relationship with Edo, Beatrice spent a decade with Dave, a relationship that reportedly left her mother Sarah Ferguson, affectionately known as Fergie, to label him “like family”.
After the pair broke up in 2016, a source told The Mail on Sunday: “After 10 years together, Beatrice and Dave had to wonder why they were not married.
“They talked it through and decided to take time apart to reflect on the future.
“They remain friends and the decision to break up was mutual.”

Beatrice’s family were said to be especially saddened by the split.
Another source added: “Sarah [Ferguson] considers Dave to be part of the family.
“She is very sad it didn’t work out. They have been together longer than many marriages last.”
The split was reportedly amicable, but it was suggested at the time Beatrice, who moved temporarily to New York to be with Dave, gave her then-boyfriend an ultimatum over where the relationship was headed.

A source alleged: “Beatrice has become a lot more assertive and confident recently.
“She gave Dave an ultimatum, but it backfired because he did not ask her to marry him.
“They both agreed that with no marriage in their future, it was time to go separate ways.”
Around two years after their break up, Dave married Lynn Anderson, and although the pair ended things in a friendly manner, Beatrice was not invited to the wedding.
The same year, wedding bells were ringing for Beatrice’s sister Eugenie, who walked down the aisle to marry her partner Jack Brooksbank.
Reflecting on the emotions Beatrice must have felt, royal commentator Angela Mollard told New Idea: “A decade together — I think it was probably one of those relationships where they were comfortable, they really liked each other, but there just wasn’t that spark.”
Ms Mollard added: “He went on and married someone within [two years] of their separation.
“That’s always hard — so she lost her boyfriend, [then] her sister got married.”
