Princess Beatrice wedding: The shock title Bea is set to be given after royal marriage

The couple announced their engagement last year, with a date set for their big day on May 29. And according to Edo’s father – Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi – Beatrice will be given a special countess role. Glamour reports he told the Daily Mail: “Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation.

“He is a count–his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”

He added that Edo and Beatrice were “very suited to each other”, while admitting he had “never seen Edo so happy”.

Their wedding is set to be held at the Chapel Royal, in St James’ Palace.

However, reports emerged this week that Princess Beatrice won’t follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a Duchess after the wedding.

As she is already a Princess, Beatrice is allowed to keep her Royal Highness title.

Royal titles are offered to members of the family by the Queen after they are married.

But, the title is not given after every royal wedding, for example when Bea’s sister Princess Eugenie got married, she did not become a Duchess.

Edo has also revealed who his best man will be at his wedding.

His three-year-old son Christopher is set to join him at the altar as Edo awaits his bride Beatrice to come down the aisle.

Christopher, or Wolfie, will be the youngest person ever in British royal history to have carried out a role at a royal wedding.

A palace source told the Daily Mail: “I can confirm that Wolfie will be best man.”

A friend of the young couple say that they decided to choose Wolfie to show him that he is much loved by his stepmother.

Edo had Christopher with his ex – American architect Dara Huang.

Ms Huang and Edo had Wolfie in 2016 and were engaged to marry until they broke up in 2018.

Wolfie’s mother is expected to attend the royal wedding at Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace and the reception, which will take place in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

Prince Andrew is set to walk Beatrice down the aisle, despite the controversy currently surrounding the Duke of York.

He was interviewed on BBC Newsnight in a bombshell show, that dissected his relationship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
