Princess Beatrice wedding SNUB: How Queen won’t grant Bea honour she gave Harry and Wills
Princess Beatrice will have the fourth royal wedding in two years in 2020, as she marries her Italian businessman fiancee Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in spring. Beatrice is the last of the Queen’s grown-up grandchildren to tie the knot, and most of the Royal Family will likely attend this year.
When William and Harry married their respective spouses in 2011 and 2018, Queen Elizabeth II gifted them new titles.
On his wedding day, Prince William and Kate Middleton became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Harry and Meghan accepted the Duchy of Sussex, and Meghan Markle was gifted a new coat of arms for her now Royal Family.
The two royal heirs secured their dukedoms thanks to their gender, meaning Eugenie and Beatrice will miss out.

The Queen only bestows new titles on her sons and grandsons following their weddings.
Although they are both (distantly) in line to the throne, and immediate kin of the monarch, this means Beatrice and Eugenie cannot take a dukedom.
The fact also rules them out of eventually inheriting their father’s title, the Duke of York.
Instead, the title would float back to the ruling member of the family after Prince Andrew’s death, ready to be placed elsewhere.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, Princess Beatrice’s wedding is scheduled for May 29 this year.
An insider told the publication Beatrice was hoping for a “low-key” occasion at an as of yet unrevealed location.
The insider added the Queen extended an offer to hold the reception at Buckingham Palace.
Beatrice was allegedly “grateful” to have the reception at the royal estate another source told the Daily Mail.

They said: “Bea was delighted and very grateful to accept.
“It was a really special gesture as it will be the first wedding celebration at Buckingham Palace since William and Catherine’s in 2011.”
Although the occasion is starting to take shape now, “issues” within the Royal Family allegedly stalled organisation.
An insider told The Sun the wedding would be an occasion for the family to “come together” after a time of controversy, as Meghan and Harry announced they were leaving the monarchy’s senior ranks.
They said: “The decision has been delayed repeatedly because of all the issues, but finally they have something that seems to work – and barring any problems that should be when it goes ahead.
“The Queen has asked everyone to come together to put on a united front.
“The press officers of all the palaces hope to portray the Beatrice wedding as the big event that brings the family back together again.
“Aides know this will be a tough job, but it’s all they can do not just to save the wedding, but potentially the monarchy’s reputation.”
