Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were due to marry this month before COVID-19 prevented public gatherings. With the future of public activity in the UK still very much up in the air, royal experts believe the Royal Family will mark the day otherwise.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said the wedding would still have cultivated “considerable interest” from the public.
He said: “One’s heart goes out to any couple planning a wedding during the pandemic.
“A royal wedding, even one such as that between Beatrice & Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi which was intended to be much reduced in scale from that of her sister Eugenie, would still have been the subject of considerable interest.”
Mr Fitzwilliams added “supportive” posts would likely appear online on May 29 to commemorate the original wedding date.

He said: “Tomorrow would have been the day and there are likely to be supportive posts online from the Yorks and possibly from other members of the royal family.
“Everyone, including those who are not admirers of Beatrice’s parents, will hope the couple can have the wedding they want when circumstances permit.”
One of Princess Beatrice’s most devoted fans is her sister Princess Eugenie, who released engagement photos of the couple.
Tributes may also come from the siblings’ mother, Sarah Ferguson, who has recently ramped up her online presence.
The Duchess of York has spent more time on Twitter, YouTube, and now LinkedIn during the coronavirus crisis.
She was one of few royals to say happy birthday to Jack Brooksbank earlier this year and recently revealed Princess Beatrice is spending the coronavirus lockdown with her future mother-in-law.
Last week, the Duchess told Darlton Harris on his City Island podcast she won’t see Beatrice on her would-be wedding day tomorrow.
She said: ”It’s sad for me that Beatrice, she was going to get married next week, but they postponed the wedding.”

“Edo and Beatrice have been living with her future mother-in-law who is lovely. Great friend of mine.
“But I’m missing my other daughter but it’s just like everybody else, we are just the same family as everybody else.”
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and his family have been longtime friends of the Yorks, with both of the Italian businessman’s parents linked to the Firm.
His father is Alessandro “Alex” Mapelli Mozzi, a British-Italian alpine skier, and his mother is Nikki Williams-Ellis.
In their statement about the engagement, the now-divorced couple said they had known Beatrice “for most of her life.”
Princess Beatrice and the Duke and Duchess of York notably attended the funeral of his father, Christopher Shale, when he passed away in 2011.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s family also has connections to the Italian aristocracy.
His grandfather was Count Gian Paolo Mapelli Mozzi, meaning Beatrice’s fiancee can use the title of Count and has both Italian and British citizenship.
