Princess Beatrice reveals newborn baby's name and shares footprint photo
Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have named their newborn daughter.
Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi was born at 11.42pm on September 18 at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, weighing 6lb 2oz.
The Queen’s 12th great-grandchild is 11th in line to the throne, and is Beatrice’s first child.
Edoardo, an Italian count and millionaire property tycoon, is already a dad to his five-year-old boy Christopher, nicknamed Wolfie, who the Princess calls her ‘bonus son’.
Today’s announcement was shared on the Royal Family’s official Twitter account with an adorable photo of Sienna’s footprints.
In a message, Beatrice and Edoardo said: ‘We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna.’
As per royal protocol, the latest addition to the family is not entitled to an HRH title, but she will inherit a nobile donna (noble woman) title from her dad.
Sienna is the second great-grandchild of the Queen to be born since the Duke of Edinburgh’s death in April, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bringing Lilibet into the world in June.
Beatrice is the eldest daughter of the Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York, with the baby being the Yorks’ second grandchild.
