Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have been striving to protect the privacy of their tot, sharing only a few details about Sienna since her birth in mid-September. However, the elder daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson recently let slip a cute moniker for the baby in a thank you note she and Edoardo sent to a royal fan.

Twitter user Nico Bloom shared on the social media platform a handwritten card they received after wishing Beatrice and Edoardo well following the birth of their baby.

The royal note read: “Thank you so much for thinking of us at this remarkable and special time.

“We are so thankful to have welcomed this little person into our family.”

Speaking about Sienna, the proud parents then wrote: “She is a little rockstar!”

The card was signed off by all members of the young family, saying: “With love, Beatrice, Edo, Wolfie and Sienna.”

The front of the card didn’t present a picture of Sienna, as her parents have decided not to release one to the public for the time being.

In lieu of a photograph, it presented the adorable footprints of the tot, an image already shared by Beatrice and Edoardo in early October as they announced the name of their newborn.

Sienna was born on September 18 at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.

Her names are believed to be paying tribute to Edoardo’s Italian roots and Queen Elizabeth II.

An insider also claimed last year Sienna, a name inspired by the city of Siena and the deep-orange colour Terra di Siena, is also a subtle tribute to the Duchess of York and her red hair.

Sienna is the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild – and the second baby the monarch has welcomed into the Royal Family following the death of Prince Philip in April.

At birth, the child was 11th-in-line to the throne, positioned immediately after her mother and before her aunt Princess Eugenie.

Much like in the thank you note to the fan, in all the announcements regarding Sienna, the proud parents have been careful to also include Edoardo’s five-year-old son Christopher Woolf, more commonly known as Wolfie.

The child was born during Edoardo’s previous relationship with architect Dara Huang.

The adorable child was reportedly front and centre also during the private wedding ceremony of Edoardo and Beatrice held in Windsor in July 2020, during which he is believed to have played the roles of page boy and best man.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo were last seen in public last Friday at the Geneva Airport, when they were returning to England after a winter break in Switzerland.

They were in the company of Sarah, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Beatrice didn’t just become a mother last year but also an aunt, as her beloved sister gave birth to August Philip Hawke in February.

Eugenie and Jack have chosen to share via the princess’ Instagram account a few snaps of their boy over the past months, in particular to mark key dates such as Father’s Day.

The birth of Sienna and August also made Sarah a grandmother – a new status she said to be relishing multiple times.

In an open letter she penned for her daughters, the Duchess of York said to “love” being a young grandmother.

The letter, shared with the Good Housekeeping, read: “I smile from my heart every day, because that is how it feels to be a granny.

“I have so many fun ideas of things to do with my grandchildren, and of course they’re a perfect new audience for all my children’s books.”
