The wedding was an intimate ceremony with a guest list comprised of 20 close friends and family members who attended the Chapel of All Saints, on the Yorks’ family estate in Windsor. Princess Beatrice made headlines in recent months after having to cancel her wedding as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, which was due to take place in late May at St George’s Chapel. Many fans have been left wondering why there are no photos of the wedding yet, but there is a very good reason for Princess Beatrice choosing to hold off on the pictures.

July 17 was a special day in Windsor not just for Princess Beatrice, but another significant event for Britain.

Captain Sir Tom Moore received his knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II during an investiture at Windsor Castle, shortly after the monarch attended her granddaughter’s nuptials.

Hello! reports the couple was keen their special day would not overshadow that of Sir Tom.

Therefore, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo decided to hold off on publishing a glimpse into their secret wedding.

The couple’s wish not to overshadow Sir Tom comes after the World War II veteran won the hearts of the nation during the pandemic.

Through heroic efforts, Sir tom managed to raise more than £32million for NHS Charities Together by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday in April.

All investitures due to be held at Buckingham Palace in London and the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh were postponed.

However, a special exception was made for Sir Tom after his award was formally announced by Downing Street in May.
