The royal couple were recently married in a ceremony which had just 20 guests. In addition, only a limited number of photographs from the wedding were officially released by Buckingham Palace.

Over the weekend, a tourist claimed to have spotted the couple driving round the south of France in an “absolutely packed” small car.

A tourist told the Mail on Sunday Mr Mozzi was behind the wheel of the couple’s packed car.

He said: “It was such a surprise to see them.”

Princess Beatrice, 31, and Mr Mozzi were initially believed to have planned to skip a honeymoon altogether, but decided to head over to the European country for a road trip at the last minute.

On their wedding on July 17, Princess Beatrice wore a 1953 Norman Hartnell dress borrowed from the Queen.

She also wore a tiara the Queen donned to her own wedding day to Prince Philip in 1947.

In one of the photos, the royal couple can be seen smiling as the Queen, dressed in blue, looks on with Prince Philip.

Princess Beatrice was walked down the aisle by her father and son of the Queen, Prince Andrew, who was not included in the official photos due to the Jeffrey Epstein controversies, the Mail claims.

According to reports, a small wedding reception was held after the ceremony which involved some additional guests.

Sources claimed this took place outdoors in a tent which matched the décor of the wedding itself.

Official photos of the wedding show a doorway to a church adorned with white and pink flowers – referred to by observers as a “secret garden” theme.

Princess Beatrice and Mr Mozzi are not the only royal couple to have had a low-key honeymoon.

The location of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s honeymoon is still not publicly known to this day – according to reports, only the Queen and Prince William know where they went.

Like the honeymoon, Princess Beatrice and Mr Mozzi’s wedding is said to have been rushed and organised in just a couple of weeks, according to reports.

The couple are said to have planned a trip to Lamu Island – a port and city off the coast of Kenya – where Mr Mozzi’s family own property.

Mr Mozzi himself is a property magnate, having founded the London-based real estate firm Banda in 2007.

The coronavirus pandemic has severely disrupted travel arrangements throughout the year.

Only yesterday British tour operator Tui announced it had cancelled all flights to mainland Spain.

It followed the government’s announcement that the travel corridor between Britain and Spain had been cancelled following concerns over coronavirus cases in the country.

The government said: “Following a significant change over the last week in both the level and pace of change in confirmed cases, Spain has been removed from the list of countries where people do not have to self-isolate when arriving into to the UK.”

This will mean anyone coming into the UK from Spain – including British nationals returning from holiday – will have to go into mandatory self-isolation for two weeks.

There is currently a travel corridor in place between France the UK, however, so Princess Beatrice and Mr Mozzi should not have to self-isolate on their return to the UK.

This could change if the couple stray out of France, or if the government announces a sudden change to its travel corridor list.
